How to Recover a Monero Bridge Deposit

If your Monero bridge deposit has not arrived, first check whether the XMR transaction was confirmed and whether you sent it to the exact deposit address for the correct route. A pending transaction is still waiting on Monero’s network; a confirmed transaction sent to the bridge address needs the route operator to investigate. Monero’s privacy means a transaction ID alone does not publicly show the recipient or amount. Recovery depends on matching your payment to the bridge’s deposit record.

What should you check before contacting support?

Compare the route’s deposit instructions with your wallet history: asset, network, address, amount, and any required payment ID or memo. Then check the transaction status in your wallet; if it is missing from your history, sync the wallet or scan for its transaction ID. A Monero wallet can create a payment proof that lets a recipient verify the amount sent to a particular address. For a fuller explanation of route checks, see this guide to checking a Monero bridge swap route.

What evidence does the bridge operator need?

Send support the information needed to identify the order and verify the payment, using the operator’s official support channel. Include:

  • The route or order ID and the time you submitted it.
  • The XMR transaction ID and the amount sent.
  • The deposit address shown in the order and the destination asset and network.
  • A Monero payment proof, if requested, shared privately with support.

A Monero transaction ID is not equivalent to a public receipt: the transaction key and destination address are used to verify a payment. Treat that key as sensitive transaction information, since it can reveal details about the payment to whoever receives it. Never share your wallet seed or private spend key; support does not need them to match a deposit.

Can you reverse or resend a confirmed deposit?

A confirmed Monero transaction cannot be reversed on-chain. If it reached the bridge’s deposit address, only the route operator can determine whether it can be credited, exchanged, or returned under that service’s process. A wrong address, unsupported network, missing memo, or amount outside the route’s stated limits may need manual review, and recovery is not guaranteed.

Do not send a second payment just because the first has not appeared; first establish whether the original is pending, confirmed, or sent to the wrong address. Keep your order details and support replies together, and watch the route’s stated confirmation threshold and the operator’s next response for the status change that determines your next step.
