Tonkeeper, a prominent non-custodial wallet within the TON ecosystem, has announced the introduction of support for HMSTR, a new cryptocurrency token from the popular Telegram-based web3 game, Hamster Kombat. This significant enhancement allows users to pay their TON transaction fees using HMSTR through Tonkeeper’s innovative Battery feature.
According to Daniel Cawrey, Chief Strategy Officer at Tonkeeper, the Battery feature is designed to streamline the transaction process for users. "When a user is airdropped the HMSTR, they have no TON. Battery is the solution for that. You can top up the Tonkeeper Battery with crypto on TON and also using the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store," he explained. This feature will be available starting October 1 when HMSTR airdrop loads are set to decrease.
As of September 25, Tonkeeper boasts an impressive 34 million monthly active users and 8 million daily active users. The game Hamster Kombat has also gained immense popularity, engaging over 300 million users as of August 6. Players engage in a unique gameplay experience that involves running a cryptocurrency exchange and tapping on images of hamsters to earn crypto rewards.
The developers of Hamster Kombat have scheduled their first airdrop for September 26, with plans to allocate 60% of the tokens to players. This move is expected to enhance user engagement and further expand the game's community.
